LONDON – 19 JULY 2023: A health-economic study commissioned by the UK government modelled potential NHS savings from using Digistain under stated assumptions.
The study, carried out by Health Tech Connect, modelled the cost impact of using Digistain as a substitute for the currently offered tumour profiling test in an intermediate-risk patient population. It reported estimated cumulative savings of an average of £286.7 million under its modelling assumptions. The modelled results depend on those assumptions and are not a guarantee of savings in practice.
The study also modelled a reduction in the transport of samples for analysis outside the UK, with an estimated reduction of 460 tonnes of carbon emissions.
Digistain was accepted onto the NHS Innovation Accelerator programme.
